You're Perfect ^^
-Perfect- You’re the perfect girlfriend. Which
means you’re rare or that you cheated 😛 You’re
the kind of chick that can hang out with your
boyfriend’s friends and be silly. You don’t
care about presents or about going to fancy
placed. Hell, just hang out. You’re just happy
being around your boyfriend.

i just washed my hair and now my head’s cold.

i’ve been playing the newish harry potter comoputer game ‘the chamber of secrets’ all day. well actually, for the past two days, but it’s allgood. my mom got both of them for me ‘the chamber of secrets’ and ‘the sorcerer’s stone’, for christmas and this is the first time i’ve played with them. i tried the first one, but i sucked at it. actually, there was one particular level i couldn’t get past. i then gave up and installed the second one. i’m such a quitter. oh well. i’m rockin the second one. my comp’s slow though, so it takes forever and a half to actually LOAD the game, five minutes to play the game, then another forever to load again. it’s terrible, but what are you gonna do?

my cousin just got a blog. it’s quite interesting too. partially because he’s my cousin, making him an interesting kid. here’s his site. Random Stuff

ta ta for now. oh how i wish i was a brit.

I had no clue what to write about, so i’ll just write about my old school compared to my current school. that’s old though. no one wants to read about drama queens here and how their asses would have been kicked in public schools. that gets really boring. i could write about my mom, but that’ll take too long. she is a collidiscope. i could also write about something that really gets me going, something i’m very passionate about, like the Holocaust. not many can endure the gruesome details. writing about the yankees versus the red sox. that’s too easy though. the yankees kick the red sox’ ass twenty-four seven. i think i shoud write about something on my mind. something that’s been bothering me. Dumb jocks would do.

OMG! i took one of those test things online entitled “how much of a republican are you” or something like that. i tool it and it told me that i’m 86-100% republican!!! AAHHH! i’m a democrat, or at least that’s what i thought. i know i shouldn’t trust the results of the online test; they’re not scientific or proven. but it greatly upsets me to know that i answered whole-heartedly and truthfully and it told me i was a republican. if a shabby girl comes up and asks me for two bucks to get a slice of pizza, i’m gonna tell her to get a job. it doesn’t make me a republican! it’s just commomn sense! you want money, you get a job! i hate the welfare system. that doesn’t make me a republican though! my mom says i am because all i think about is money. America is a capitalist society! they train you to get a good education so you can get into a good college so you can get a good job. why do they want you to get a good job? so you can make money! it’s a value that’s been instilled in kids since the second grade! it’s the foundation of the capitalist society. they want you to make more money so they can make more money off you your money. one two three people. just because i understand the system doesn’t make me a republican. that really urks me.

i’m sorry i’m not writing as much. my life really sucks right now. i feel like i’m losing my grip on reality. i feel like i’m losing all of my friends; the worst part is i apparently don’t know who my “real friends” are. i don’t even know if i have any ‘real friends’.

my grades are going down the drain and i want to prevent that, but i’m losing the will to do that.

it’s like the levi’s commercial. i’m standing in the middle of the road and everything is rushing by me. except instead of the stream rushing towards me, it’s going by. it’s leaving me behind by myself. it doesn’t care if i disintegrate into nothing. i want to say something. then i work up the courage. then it escapes from my mouth before the words do. that or my mouth fire with intensity and the flowing rush of people speed up, trying to get away from me.

i swear i want to go back to my old school so bad. this would never be the case in public school. i would be mega-popular like i was in freshman year there. if i ever felt that i wasn’t fitting in or being totally ignored or excluded, i would simply go to another group of friends and hang with them. it was no big deal. but then you go to fucking boarding school where there’s only 360 people and you don’t have that liberty anymore. everyone there’s a fucking drama queen. you never see drama queens in public school. they get beat up and spit on; they drop the act and drop it quick. no one likes a drama queen. and since i’m not one, i get excluded. yeah like i want to complain about every single fucking thing in the god damn world. i complain about bush and his fleet of republicans and when the Yankees are losing during baseball season. i don’t make a big show of myself; i never needed to. people killed to be my friend in public school. granted out of all the friends i had, few were actual “real friends”, they were still friends. there was still someone there. who do i go to when i’m having a personal crisis? certainly not the drama queens. then they’ll start talking about themselves and how they had a similar conflict. DID I FUCKING ASK FOR THEIR ADVICE???? i’m not a fucking idiot!! i ask them to listen, they think i’m vulnerable and bust out of their drama queen act.

sometimes i wish they went to public school. just a few days even. they’d either get their asses kicked for trying to act smart or they’d be so excluded from the masses that they would self-implode from attention deprivation. that would be wonderful.

well, with that said. excuse me while i kill myself.

i’m so excited about American Idol! it’s so good, but i definitly think they had more talent last year. i would watch it tonight but i have to work. on a wednsday when i specifically stated that i couldn’t work weeknights due to school work. i have the smartest manager ever!

so i’m leaving for Canada on friday right? i also have to do laundry, a five page paper that i haven’t started and pack. also other homework. so working tonight’s gonna be great. i’m definitly bringing some homework to do. wednsday are quite possibly the slowest day of the week. no one goes shopping on wednsday.

i was so excited about going to canada, but now i want my money back. i don’t want to go. it’ll be way too cold and i want to sleep for the tiny “long weekend” my school gives me. monday and tuesday off doesn’t count as anything. i hope i become deathly ill tomorrow. but not before i get my money back. unfortunatly, it’ll never happen. darn.

Blue

i remember the song playing on the radio. some European techno.

we drove up the long driveway to the home of hundreds. it was a nice place. a quiet, contemporary mansion, complete with two black labs and a wind-around porch.

there were girls sitting on the second floor balcony, and more scattered throughout the fields the balcony overlooked.

my cousin turned the techno song down and was reminiscing about the time he took his little sister away to boarding school.

i didn’t want to listen to him though.

i felt the tears swell like balloons in my eyes as i turned up the volume of Blue Da Ba Dee.

Violin

i wish i knew how to p l a y the v i o l i n .

any i n s t r u m e n t really. but i really like the v i o l i n .

it is very e l e g a n t and p o w e r f u l.

a v i o l i n can be very i n t i m i d a t i n g.

i n t i m i d a t i n g with it’s p o w e r ; it’s r i ch and d i v e r s e music.

the v i o l i n cannot be thouroughly explored.

it can be p l a y e d by one of mediocre t a l e n t and musical i n t e l l i g e n c e ;

it can become a l i v e if a w a k e n e d by an e x p e r t hand.

the r e a l m of the s t r i n g s is a g a l a x y in itself.

one can n e v e r reach the other side ;

one can never co n q u e r all it’s s t a r s and p l a n e t s , nor travel all its m i l e s.

the expert hand r e v i v i n g this musical f o r c e is just as i n t i m i d a t i n g as the v i o l i n itself.

it is a m a s t e r who wakes the l i o n s and evokes unamountable p a s s i o n and e m o t i o n within the b e a s t s that minimal contact with the r o a r i n g creatures, their w r a t h s u r g e s out like an o m i n o u s l y erupting v o l c a n o .

i wished i p l a y e d the v i o l i n.

for i would be the m a s t e r.

i was so upset yesterday! i thought i raped the great trials fact and fiction quiz. i thouhgt i would at least get oh, a hundred. i got an 82! a flippin 82! what type of bull crap is that! i was so mad! And i have to write a 4-6 page paper for that class. i used to be able to do that, no problem. but then my A.P. U.S. History teacher drilled us into getting everything into ywp pages. maybe two and a half, but not much more. he taught us to get to the point;get our ideas out quick, but coherently. at first, it was hard, but now it comes naturally. now i have to go back to my old drawn out writig style. that will be a diffucult transaction. the topic isn’t even 4 pages worth. i could write a one page paper with that topic. oh well.i’ll live i guess.

my best friend, we’ll call her liz for safety’s sake, called me yesterday and was like ” i think i broke my arm.” so i went over and there’s a nice buldge in her arm where the bone’s about to come out. yeah, i think she broke it. so on the way to the hospital i asked her how she broke it. she was banging on a door for like fifteen minutes. she says that soeone was banging on her boyfriends door, supposedly the girl she thinks is trying to get with her man, and she decided to bang back. i almost hit her when she told me. i could have broken my arm a better way than that.

keep those pancakes flippin.

my mom and i just got back from a six hour search for a christmas tree. it was really quite fun. we stopped by the local, well, not really “local” persay, but we stopped at the ‘nearset’ JCC and had food, finished up some prayers i missed off on, then went searching for a christmas tree. quite an oximoron, but all good.

just for a bit of advise : don’t feed you tree (if it’s a live tree that is) that evergreen ” if you feed me to your tree i’ll make it live longer” crap. it made ours keel over within the first two weeks we had it. TWO weeks. then we went out this morning and 6 hours later we returned with a tree. finally. i think it’s a bit better than the first tree we had, but all good:)

i’m gonna go met my friend at ruby tuesday’s now, so ttyl

yippie.i’m here again. it’s like i go into a bow for a few days and then pop back out and write something, then go back into the box.

we got out for vacation today. it’s awesome already. i just can’t wait for endless days of sitting on my ass at home or lugging myself into work. that’s pretty much my vacation, with the exception of new years. that, second to st patricks day, is one of the best days of the year. basically because i can get intoxicated off my ass and i can simply reply “happy new years”. st. patricks days are even worse. i would say ” happy st. patrick’s day”, but i’m usually to drunk to speak without sounding like george bush, if i can speak at all.

the only things that will be able to keep me insane this extremly long vacation are probably the books i got yesterday. i got a few john grisham books, the firm and the chamber i think, and a johnathan harr book, a civil action. legal thirllers are always good. i also got a red badge of courage and almost got confederates in the attic. i think i’ll go back and get that.

until next time, avi

wow sorry it’s been so long! i’ve had a pretty busy week in school, and i’m not very good at managing both my homework and my webwork. there’s just too much to do.

it really just comes down to this: i had an a.p us history essay to write. my advanced placement class is in fact the hardest one at my school and at times, i shudder at the thought of not succeeding in it. however, succeeding in that class usually is getting about a c. again, the hardest one in our school. well, i had to write this essay, due thursday, then deferred til friday.

the question was

“While the North grew and changed, economically the South merely grew…and southern growth reinforced existing conditions, including slavery.” Assess the validity of this statement.

yup that was it. and we don’t have the kind of teacher where you could just answer the question and call it a day. nope, we have the kind of teacher where you not only have to “assess the validity” of the statement, but we have to tie in the market economy, seperatly define ‘growth’, ‘change’, and ‘reinforce’, not bad. but it also has to have slavery and how that helped the south grow economically and the diversity of the northern economy due to change, especially the high population, metropolitian cities, and the western connestion via railroads. and to top it off, it had to be good and well written.

though it sounds like a lot to do, and though i didn’t make it sound all that hard ( i had to re-write it three times), it’s definitly worth it because not only through the book and classroom discussions, but through your individual aspect pertaining to the question. it’s really quite good.

i’m going to go get something to eat.

sorry i haven’t posted in a while. the way time flys when you’re having fun! it’s just not fair sometimes!

i’ve had a really busy week. a lot of schoolwork. i love the way teachers could care less if you have at least two hours work in just one class and they give you at least an hour of it. it’s just great spending four to five hours on homework every night. i don’t though. i only got about 3 hours tonight, or at least that was what i spent on it. all i had was 6 problems in precalculus, some really stupid execersizes in spanish, and to study for an ap us history test tomorrow. oh, i forgot to mention reading 40 pages of a civil action for my law class. all in all, not that bad.

but at least there will be break time this weekend. not really though. friday night i have to work. hazzah!! saturday morning i have to go to a seminar and saturday afternoon i have to go to a friend’s baby shower. then onsunday i’m going to see beauty and the beast on broadway. not that bad of a weekend. then there’s the sustaincial amount of homework time that needs to be kept aside. all good all in all.

but anyways. let’s focus our attention on a completly different subject.

so on the welcome menu page thing of aol, there was a poll. will the u.n. find illegal weapons in iraq was the question. the percent (at least te percent around 7 o’clock) was something like 51 yes and 38 no and the other percentage didn’t know. my question is this: if the iraqies know that the u.n. is going to come and search for illegal weapons, assuming they had any of coarse, wouldn’t they be smart enough to hide them? the iraqies might not be the smartest of people, be rest assured, they’re not dumb. if there was gossip, a simple rumour that was to greatly effect them in any way, the u.n. searches for example, wouldn’t one think to put their stuff into hiding? that’s just like your brother saying that your mom suspected you of having a porno in your room and you (still holding the assumption that you do have one) stashing it away even if she doesn’t come. it’s a simple defence mechinism. in your case, it puts your ass in jeoperdy because you know your mom will sure as hell kick the shit out of it. in iraq’s case, it puts their whole country in jeoperdy. it’s so dumb to think the u.n. expects to go into iraq, charge through a door labled “illegal weapons only” and find themselves in a room with all the illegal weapons in the country, saddam hussen, the members of the taliban, and osama bin ladden sitting around a table drinking tea.

well in the meantime, i have to go study for a quiz tomorrow. ciao. -avi

Back to the Hell I call Life

well, it’s monday, and it’s also the last day of my thanksgiving vacation. i’ve had a week of freedom from school and unfortunatly it’s time to go back. yay. i don’t know why i’m complaining though. after two weeks of school, i get a month of vacation, so i should just shut up.

for all of those wondering why i get long vacations, i go to boarding school. i used to go to a public school, then my mom yanked me out because she didn’t think that the education there would get me anywhere in life. i’ve actually gotta say that i’m glad she did. i’ve now got friends from all over the world opposed to all over the city. we also have better food than public schools. it’s actually real and they actually cook it.

but i’ll get back to my complaining. i’ll tell you all what i did, or didn’t do over my vacation.

i ate. i worked. i read fredrick douglass’s narrative. it really wasn’t that bad. if you want to read a REALLY bad book, well, not as bad as is dry, read the unredeemed captive. i had to read it for ap us history and it’s a killer. think of a really dry, really big stick in any oracle in your body. that’ s kinda what that book felt like. but freddy d was pretty good. i went to new haven ct for my uncle’s 90th b-day party. we went to this really fancy resturant and i had the shrimp. it was really good. i listened to josh groban’s cd. he’s really good. if you want to learn more about him, go to Josh’s Site. you can even listen to his whole album through his site if you’ve never heard it. it’s really good.

speaking of album’s, i’m listening to mariah carey’s album online as we speak. it’s ok. many of the songs sound the same though. the whole thing, with the exception of a song or two, has a very similar base line. all good though. i would burn it instead of buy it, and i love mc.

i’m gonna go get ready for school though. i’m gonna go experiment with different styles in my hair.

HAPPY HANUKKAH!!

the best 8 days of the year are here!! happy hanukkah to all the jews out ther, and even to the non-jewish people who sorta celebrate it.

the only thing that is upsetting this hanukkah season is that we had to use an old monorah because i broke our last year. i, being half jewish, half christian, give or take, celebrate both christmas and hanukkah. so last year we were setting up the christmas tree during hanukkah and i thought it was nice and sturdy in the tree holder thing. i was wrong. i turn around and see the christmas tree com tumbling down on our poor little monorah, wiping out at least the first four days. then we had to go searching for one and we found another one, and though a bit older, it still stood. now my mom’s complaining at me because it “doesn’t go with the furnature”. yeah like i care.

but anyways! happy dredel days!!

A Simple Review

Josh Groban, a fresh twenty-one year old baritone/tenor, has started to capture the eyes, and the hearts of the musical society. Emerging from California, this talented young man sings a range of genres, from opera to pop.

I have just purchased his cd, and it is quite good. His smooth voice floats over the 13 tracks of Italian, Spanish, and Enlgish songs. His cd even features his duet with Charolette Church, “The Prayer”, that was sung at the 2002 Olypics. He intriquetly weaves the notes through the bar on which they are written and it produces a truly marvelous sound.

Produced by Dr. David Foster, he has been “subbed in ” for Andrea Borachelli at the Grammy’s, singing with Celine Dione when only 17. He has appeared on everything from David Letterman to having his own special on PBS’s Great Performances. Josh will even be going on tour this coming spring. That is anticipated to be absolutely sensational.

In short, this smooth upcoming sensation has trapped the eyes and ears of many, and it’s only time before he’ll capture yours.

[This is in no way affiliated with Josh Groban or any official copywritten document/s. It’s just a really bad review.]

i just wrote in my journal a few nights ago about different thigns to write about, and so far i’ve got about 50 different things. i don’t feel like writing about any of them righ tnow though. there are a few things that are ticking me off right now however.

i got a splinter in my hand last week. it’s right where the thumb bends too. so i literally had to operate on my hand. i cut it open (the wood broke off and the part that was in me was in pretty deep) and got the tweezers and tried to fish around in the wide gash. i finally cut deep enough to extract the wood. it was about 2 mm long! it was so tiny! then all this blood gushed out and it was really quite disgusting. my mom told me that it would still feel like there was something in there after i had taken out the nusance. she was right. it agitated me so much that i went into the sealed gash i had made. i again searched around. i saw a tiny, almost microscopic dot, and thought nothing about it. i couldnt find anything unfortunatly. it wasn’t until like 15 minutes ago that i noticed that microscopic dot was actually something. i bet it’s the flippin piece of wood that had been pissing me off for so long now. i’ll have to operate on it again.

just thought i’d fill everyone in.
