Back to the time when I was happy
Unhappily happy
Back when I could talk to you about anything
But that one thing
I wish I could just talk to you now like then
But things are different now
We are older now

I can’t talk to anyone
No one to tell how I feel
It would be you but it might be awkward now
These words could be some punk rock song
They might have a good beat to it
Or some emo singalong that girls screem at the top of their lungs
All this on a note that is tucked between the pages of your favorite book
Or more likely a flash drive, or multimedia card sitting on the edge of a shelf
All these past words
All these past thoughts
All these past lives
All these past times
